Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent the whole entire day preparing our Thanksgiving dinner all from scratch.

The results: surprisingly good. Instead of stuffing a huge turkey for just three people, we decided to make roasted chicken instead. The chicken was very flavourful with lots of thyme, rosemary, and sage.

The corn cobs was pretty much the damage because we soaked it in so much melted butter and oil with lots of salt and pepper. It was so delicious!

The mash potato was soo delicious and fluffy! It was so easy to make too! All you have to do is boil the potatoes in a pot and then mash them up with butter and hot milk.

For our soup, we made butternut squash soup. An October classic. It was our first time making squash soup so we really didn’t know what to expect. It wasn’t bad but could’ve been better and it could’ve been creamier. It’s okay though, practice makes perfect!

The apple pie we baked. ♥

What are you thankful for? ♥

What’s For Dinner?

I went to the supermarket at Yahon today and did some grocery shopping.
Their lobsters were on special so I bought two lobsters and fresh clams along with some vegetables.

Our dinner: Lobster baked with cheese and butter. Stir-fried clams with black bean sauce, garlic, salt and pepper. Boiled gai-lan (Chinese broccoli) with soy sauce with rice.
